Elements are almost completely obscured by the projection layers but offer a sense of scale and depth to the scene and improve the read of the silhouette.

The ‘computer-generated’ appearance of these elements is not noticeable once the depth of field, volumetric light and mist is added.

The projected bollards are replaced with a CG version so that chains could be added.
I had previously attempted to project the chain onto a planar object, aligned to the bollards, but the parallax is quite extreme here and the two-dimensional nature of the projection was clearly visible, especially when the bollards crossed-over.

I also replaced my previous streetlamps with lanterns, these being more commonplace of that period.
I downloaded a CG streetlamp to provide the projection geometry and initial texture, although I overpainted this before reprojecting.
